Design for every stage of life

Hearts at Home is a collaborative project by Nana Oldach and Laura Roberts, two Interior Designers with the love and passion to enrich and change lives through the power of design. We believe in giving back to individuals and communities through thoughtful home modifications that create meaningful impact. Our approach centers on designing spaces that are intuitive, accessible, and usable by all—supporting people of every age, size, and ability with dignity and ease.

We are CAPS certified through the National Association of Home Builders and specialize in design solutions for aging in place, special needs, and independent living. Our work addresses both urgent and long-term accessibility challenges, including mobility, safety, acoustics, furniture planning, and lighting, while also incorporating color, materials, art placement, and biophilic elements to support wellness, harmony, and quality of life.

As we age, changes in balance, strength, and agility can make everyday activities such as bathing and moving through the home more challenging. In fact, falls in the bathroom, particularly in showers and bathtubs, are one of the leading causes of injury among older adults. Our bathroom and whole home designs proactively reduce these risks while preserving comfort, dignity, and continuity of lifestyle.
